Experience an Everglades fishing charter with a friendly native guide. Stop’s Marine Charters have been departing from Calusa Island Marina near the little fishing village of Goodland since 1994.
Captain John Stop shares his 33 years of experience fishing local waters by guiding up to 6 passengers in his favorite Gulf of Mexico nearshore and backwater hot spots in the Everglades coastal wilderness known as the Ten Thousand Islands. Species commonly caught are redfish, snook, snapper, trout, shark, tarpon, Spanish mackerel, drum, pompano, flounder, tripletail and more.
Captain John has held his commercial U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain License since 1988, holds a FL Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission Guide Permit, is a supporting member of the Coastal Conservation Assn., and is a certified member of the Society for Ethical Ecotourism in Southwest Florida.
For your Everglades fishing pleasure, the “Strike” is a 25’ center-console vessel that offers spacious room with bimini shade cover and complete compliment of safety and marine electronics. Bring along your choice of snacks or beverage; we’ll provide everything you’ll need for fishing ~ including bait, tackle and license.
